Saint Isidore Cemetery
Opened in 1811 and expended throughout the 19th Century, the Saint Isidore Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in Madrid. With a surface area of 120,000 m2 it is a truly monumental cemetery with a large number of architectural and sculptural elements. It was built behind the Chapel of San Isidro Labrador.
