An insider tip and definitely one of my favourite beer gardens in the Munich area, in Seeshaupt at the southern tip of Lake Starnberg to be exact.

🥨The food is delicious and freshly prepared and you won’t find any food buffet with premade food that is kept warm under a heating lamp. You’ll find Bavarian classics like sausage salad (“Wurstsalat”) as well as fresh vendace (“Renke”) from Lake Starnberg and exciting beers on the menu. In summer, the grill is fired up twice a week and Steckerlfisch (fish grilled on a stick) is served.

🛥️Insider tip, because the beer garden in Seeshaupt is somewhat hidden and not quite as crowded as some other beer gardens on Lake Starnberg. In addition, the beer garden is so close to the water that you can go for a swim between the main course and dessert and is only a 3-minute walk from the Dampfersteg Seeshaupt. The Lidl family also runs the boat hire shop right next door.
