Posada del León de Oro
The Hotel:
This former inn from the end of the 19th century in the heart of the La Latina neighbourhood is now a boutique hotel with a unique design. Attractions include the part of the 12th century Christian wall that has been restored and crosses the entire building.
The Location:
La Posada is just a 10-minute walk from the Royal Palace and Puerta del Sol, Madrid’s most famous square.
The Rooms:
The 17 spacious rooms are simple and all different. My personal favorites are the rooms in the attic.
The Restaurant and Bars:
The Posada has a restaurant, the Enotaberna del León de Oro, which offers traditional regional cuisine with a modern touch and a wide selection of wines with over 300 references. There is also a bar and a reception open 24 hours.
