Bullfighting has a long tradition in Spain and the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas is home to one of the largest rings in the bullfighting world. With a total seating capacity of over 23 thousand this arena is the dream of every ‘torero’ (bullfighter). It was opened in 1931 and hosted its first fight three years later. The season starts in March and ends in October.
