The 1477 Reichhaltiger is a wonderful little design hotel with 8 rooms in the middle of the tiny mountain village of Lana. As as member of Design Hotels, Pretty Hotels and The Aficionados, you will be welcomed with many small design details that will make you feel at home.

Our check-in with Jakob was one of many personal encounters with the very friendly and welcoming staff and owners.

One of the design details mentioned earlier is the Smeg fridge on the first floor which is the self-service hotel bar where you will find beer, wine, water and chocolate which you can take up to the roof terrace.

The hotel restaurant is one of the best restaurants I had in South Tyrol. I can highly recommend the “RH tasting” menu and one of the local wines. Be sure to book a table in advance as it is always booked out in advance, especially in the summer.

The breakfast is served from 8 am on the cobblestone street in front of the hotel. I can recommend the homemade brioche and chocolate spread.
